SÖNDERBYGGD
Sönderbyggd är en audiovisuell duo som består av Michael Idehall och Olle Huge. De arbetar med fysisk visualisering av ljud. Olika flytande och fasta material skapar nya strukturer inför ett antal videokameror. Resultatet projiceras stort till musiken.

Sönderbyggds mystiska samspel mellan akustisk energi och materian har beskrivits som: “Hypnotiska ljudbilds-landskap som gestaltar en ständig undergång”.

Extra Life ar äntligen tillbaka tillbaka til Koloni! Senast var 3 år sedan då de spelade på Galleri ORO.

Sedan 2007 har Extra Life från Brooklyn utmanat och förfört olika undergroundscener med sin mörka, dramatiska blandning av alltifrån pop till metal. En del kallar deras musik för “Plague Pop”, och de har kallats alltifrån genier till pretentiösa till religiösa.

Extra Lifes två första album ”Secular Works” och ”Made Flesh” och deras EP ”Ripped Heart” möttes av positiv respons och landade på otaliga årsbästalistor. Plattorna följdes av split-singlar med Parenthetical Girls, Nat Baldwin och Larkin Grimm, och remixar av artister som Xiu Xiu, Justin Broadrick och Tyondai Braxton.

Efter att ha turnerat i USA fyra gånger och Europa tre gånger, innehållande besök på festivaler som Primavera Sound, Kilbi, Villette Sonique och Moers har Extra Life byggt upp en hängiven skara fans. Aktuella med sitt tredje album, ”Dream Seeds”, besöker de nu Göteborg

VUK (Fin/US, Pyramid)
Vuk is a Finnish-American artist based in Helsinki and New York. She creates lush, mysterious sonic tapestries and organic, bare-bones chamber music from a pump organ, autoharp, multi-layered voodoo percussion and, most recently, Indonesian gamelan instruments. Live she is backed by a band including Johanna Tarkkanen on keyboards, Juho Alajuuma on percussion, autoharp and guitar, and Janne Lastumäki on drums.
Her album, “The Plains” (Pyramid, 2009) won her rave reviews in Finland and abroad, and helped her tour extensively in Europe and the U.S., notably as the hand-picked opening act for Fever Ray’s 2009 U.S. tour. She has also shared the bill with other kindred spirits such as Owen Pallett, Dirty Projectors (of which she is also a former member), Swans, Tamaryn and Efterklang.
Vuk already played a bunch of important Festival such as Eurosonic, Iceland Airwaves, Great Escape in Brighton, Flow Festival and the Wroclaw Poetry Festival.

In Zaire: a psychedelic tribal quartet involving the memers of the italian duo G.I. Joe, Claudio Rocchetti and Stefano Pilia. Their performance is able to bring the audience into a psychedelic trip. But their music is not …only psychedelic. They mix dub-funk drum rythms, tribal and african percussions, electrical-indian bassguitar melodies, arabic and psychedelic voices, and minimal-introspective electronic sounds.

LA OTRACINA is the New Wave of Psychedelic Heavy Metal, a contemporary musical vision exploding with classic influences and mind-warping sonic fusions! Film: WERNER HERZOG EATS HIS SHOE (21 min, 1980, regi: Les Blank)

In the late 1970′s, director Werner Herzog made a bet with then-unknown director Errol Morris: if Morris ever finished his documentary Gates of Heaven, Herzog would literally eat his shoe. It may have seemed a safe bet for Herzog — Gates is a very strange film: a slow, almost dreamlike documentary concerning a family’s failing pet cemetery, and another man’s thoughts on life and death, influenced by his day job running an animal rendering plant.

So, predictably, Morris finished his film, released it, and it’s now considered a classic. What was Herzog to do? Well, eat his shoe of course. At this point, director Les Blank got involved to document the outcome of the bet. Blank filmed Herzog discussing the bet, and followed as Herzog prepared his shoe at Berkeley restaurant Chez Panisse, including five hours in a stock pot. Herzog proceeded to give a public lecture at the premiere of Gates of Heaven, offering advice on filmmaking and life, and eating the shoe (minus the sole). Just before eating the shoe, Herzog said: “I have survived so many Kentucky Fried Chicken , it won’t do any harm to me.”
