An intense range of sonic exploration can be found across 27 years and 70 releases of the Zanstones project of Louisville, Kentucky artist Zan Hoffman. Through city-specific shows for more than 30 European and American cities and live collaborations with artists such as Francisco
López, Jørgen Teller and Geoff Leigh, Zanstones lively approach to sounds, musics, noises and voices continue to entertain and amaze listeners. Yearly European tours have brought Zanstones experiments to new listeners since 2007. Zan’s own label for 27 years was a fixture in the international home-taping scene with over 1100 releases, including collaborations with 400 artists worldwide. At the Observatori Festival in Valencia 2000 Zanstones began an ongoing series of concerts where all recordings were gathered the day of the show in the city of the concert and unique results crafted for the live show. Future audiences
can look forward to their own Zanstones city portraits.

BEAST (Malmö)
Duo consisting David Hagberg and Henrik Kihlberg. Together they are creating drum driven electronic music. Sometimes very danceable and sometimes more dark, hypnotic and repetitive, which they are pounding out live like a doomsday machine perfectly made for sweaty club nights.
Lately they have been working with visual artist Caroline Andersson who is hooking up the beats to triggered light machines.

Formed in 2004, Jooklo Duo is the hard-hitting tenor sax/drums duo of Virginia Genta and David Vanzan.
In the past six years of restless activity, the couple has toured the US and Europe extensively, performing around five-hundred concerts. Jooklo Duo have collaborated with Sonic Youth, Makoto Kawabata, Sabu Toyozumi, Chris Corsano, Paul Flaherty, Daniel Carter, Bill Nace, and many others.

ULRICA (ROY) (Bogotá, Colombia)
Ulrica (Roy) was born as a Sound/Music/Performance duo out of our passion for experimenting and improvising with sound – to movement – to image synesthesia, and free association with both fictional and daily life characters and stories. Our music is played with a synthesyzer, a laptop, and concrete sounds such as spoken voices, non-verbal noises, and the sounds from twisting everyday objects we hack, i.e: a ‘rastafari blender’, a ‘hairy drill motor’ or a ‘medusa airflow fan’. Light and sounds are synchronized via midi and electronic interfaces we program to enhance this synesthesia effect and to create special atmospheres on stage we invite our audience to experience. Feminine, masculine and animal perceptions are key ingredients to these atmospheres and sketched characters we play with.

Banana Head or BH is Zully Adler, the American boy behind the Goaty Tapes imprint. BH plays romantic pop music, filtered through a particularly warped array of shoddy equipment and personal issues. Banana Head obsesses over the basic structures of popular music, deconstructing the same formulas until they dissolve into reflective plainness. Simple and familiar pop strategies rub up against off-beat, dopey, and sometimes droll counterstrategies.
